Sandra Yancey [00:00:00]:

We did a whole thing on negotiating, how you negotiate the venues and, you know, how you plan, you know, the itinerary and how do you price it. And

Kym Yancey [00:00:09]:

with, with this picking out people to work with you, I want that enthusiasm. I want to feel it. I want to, you know, I can tell if they're really into it and they're making themselves accessible and available.

Briana Dai [00:00:22]:

And if they're— so I'm curious, just because you do always find the most incredible experiences. You're not a travel agent, so like, how do you find these places? Is Amex the secret weapon? Like, who— what's your— can you share your source? Welcome to She Means Millions. Depending on when you're tuning in, we are likely somewhere between Rome and Barcelona or anywhere in the ocean in between. And I really can't wait to actually be there. But it's not for vacation, surprisingly. We are actually gonna be in Europe with our Pinnacle members for our annual bucket list trip.

Sandra Yancey [00:01:15]:

That is also a mastermind.

Briana Dai [00:01:17]:

That is a mastermind, yes.

Sandra Yancey [00:01:18]:

And we're actually doing it on a cruise this year. So it's a lot of behind-the-scenes working with the cruise line because they have to provide us with mastermind space. And they're not used to that.

Briana Dai [00:01:31]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:01:31]:

You know?

Briana Dai [00:01:32]:

They're used to people just coming to hang.

Sandra Yancey [00:01:34]:

Yeah. But we also— I mean, these are pretty luxurious vessels that aren't for thousands of people and white glove service.

Kym Yancey [00:01:42]:

Ultra luxury.

Sandra Yancey [00:01:43]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:01:43]:

Yeah. You're kind of the mastermind behind the mastermind on the bucket list trip. So talk to, talk to them.

Sandra Yancey [00:01:51]:

We're really lucky because we have a travel snob over here.

Kym Yancey [00:01:53]:

I am a travel snob.

Briana Dai [00:01:55]:

And I'm happy to be associated with the travel snob because it really works in my favor. So tell everyone about where we're going, the cruise line, what, what, like, what— set the scene.

Kym Yancey [00:02:06]:

Well, it's called Silversea. That's the, the line we're on. So there are just a couple of, uh, ultra-luxury cruise lines, you know, that have low pay, you know, patronage.

Sandra Yancey [00:02:19]:

Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:02:19]:

What?

Sandra Yancey [00:02:20]:

Patronage.

Kym Yancey [00:02:20]:

Patronage. Yeah, there we go. All right.

Sandra Yancey [00:02:22]:

Fewer people.

Kym Yancey [00:02:23]:

Fewer people. Yeah. I think, you know, anywhere between 300 to 500 will be this.

Sandra Yancey [00:02:29]:

Yeah, they have—

Briana Dai [00:02:29]:

that is intimate.

Sandra Yancey [00:02:30]:

They have like 2.8 service people per person.

Briana Dai [00:02:35]:

Oh, wow.

Sandra Yancey [00:02:37]:

Your own butler. Walk-in closets.

Kym Yancey [00:02:40]:

The thing we wanted to do Is— you were saying it's not vacation, but I gotta tell you, at some level it's almost greater than a vacation because the, you know, the learning and the sharing mixed with wonderful dinners and great cocktails and wine and that kind of stuff, that combination is like— I don't know how you beat it.

Briana Dai [00:03:04]:

Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:03:04]:

You know what I mean? Um, but yeah, it's, uh, it's a bucket list trip, and what we do With Pinnacles, every, every year we do a bucket list trip where we work in our mastermind format, where we're helping people really discover, um, and unveil the greatest part of their dream, their wish, their calling when it comes to their business, and do it around other people who have a shared mission to give and share openly. Unfiltered. I mean, it's, it's, it's unreal.

Sandra Yancey [00:03:39]:

Something magical about really getting away. It's hard for me to— I'm rarely at a loss for words, as we know. I just cannot find the words other than to say magical about just literally getting away. And we've done them on an African safari. We've done them in Bali. We've done— I mean, we've done, you know, a lot of them now. And there are breakthroughs that you're saying, wait, it's the same people. We're all getting together.

Sandra Yancey [00:04:12]:

There's something about the relinquishing, you know, the inbox or the, you know, chores or the errands or the whatever. Yeah. And being fully present with each other. And, um, And it is the business, but it's also, like you said, Kim, just the, the conversations. Like, we do our own private excursions with just our group and we'll do a cooking class. And it's just amazing what breaking bread and making pasta from scratch and—

Briana Dai [00:04:47]:

Yeah. I also, I also feel like because, you know, we do mastermind stateside as well. This will be our second of 3 that we do with this group. Yes. This cohort every year. And, you know, you can have the breakthroughs stateside as well, getting out of your backyard. You can't do the chores or the errands in Dallas. Well, for them, we can, but they're coming into Dallas.

Briana Dai [00:05:11]:

But going overseas, there is something magical about having a rich mastermind discussion and then just being able to like sit and look at the ocean and just the expansive thinking that you're able to have when you are in such a gorgeous, bucket list, you know, luxurious destination, you know, creating that setting of, you know, that's the ultimate. If you were looking for permission for your worthiness, you know, you are on the top of the top experience, experiencing it with all the top of the top people because every single pinnacle member is a rockstar.

Sandra Yancey [00:05:53]:

Yes.

Briana Dai [00:05:53]:

You know, so there is something, I think, magical to be on what would be perceived as like a vacation that's obviously also work in a, amazing venue with amazing scenery where you can just dream bigger than you could ever dream even stateside. You know, just going overseas and just unplugging and being on a completely different time zone where it's really hard to even like check in with the kids. Like you've got a window.

Sandra Yancey [00:06:19]:

Yes. Right.

Briana Dai [00:06:19]:

You know what I mean? It's really— it is something special.

Sandra Yancey [00:06:23]:

Yeah. And it's like after the masterminding and then, you know, we'll you know, arrive at a port like Portofino, which if I could live anywhere in the world, that would be my spot.

Briana Dai [00:06:34]:

I can't wait.

Sandra Yancey [00:06:35]:

And to then say to a couple of, of now girlfriends, like, let's go have a luxurious lunch at the Splendido and watch the yachts come in. And there's something about that that then gets into dreaming and what we were talking about and taking it another level. And it's, Yeah, I can't—

Kym Yancey [00:06:59]:

Elevates your thinking. I see it. It's the same thing that happens when people come to the studio for video. How they come in, they come in as the person they are, right? But because they went through that process, they come out on the other end elevated. And the elevation doesn't sink back. It stays there. It becomes a new set point. And I think it's the exact same thing with the trip.

Kym Yancey [00:07:22]:

You know, on the different trips that we go on, the different experiences, the way that it's all layered together. You know, you cannot have deep, meaningful conversations in a 1-day conference.

Briana Dai [00:07:33]:

No.

Kym Yancey [00:07:34]:

You know, people around, you know, where you can really kind of, hey, let's have dinner tonight. Imagine that you're out with someone. And in our case, you know, it's a— I think it's a 12-day cruise. I can't remember, 10, 12 days. And, you know, you have your dinner sitting next to someone, you're having a great conversation. Another day or 2 later, you're back again talking together. you know, explore and going, and going deeper. And it just opens you, opens you up, you know, that the right kind of mastermind experience.

Kym Yancey [00:08:04]:

And everybody has their different take on it. I think, um, you put together an agenda that's just a flow, the way, the way we do it, that is just superb. I mean, I, I can't imagine it being better.

Briana Dai [00:08:17]:

Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:08:18]:

You know, the way you do it.

Briana Dai [00:08:19]:

What is Pinnacle for the people listening that don't know what what Pinnacle is. Talk about it.

Sandra Yancey [00:08:23]:

Pinnacle is a level of membership, and it is our top-tier membership. It's a $50,000 investment. What you get is basically the 3 of us. We're called the trifecta because we each have very clear areas of expertise. Yet, you know, we are, you know, really bonded in what we believe is the outcome for a working formula for a successful business. So you get us as your executive advisory board. You have the opportunity to book a couple of sessions with whichever one you want for one-on-one time every month. You have a quarterly meeting with the 3 of us, one-on-one, the 3 of us and the Pinnacle member.

Sandra Yancey [00:09:13]:

We do 3 masterminds. The first one is always here at our corporate office because we have the whiteboards and we're really— you know, expanding your business model and the way you're messaging and the way you're gonna make money. Then that's what we know we're gonna be working with you on for the next year. And then of course, we, you know, host you for a private lunch during the conference. You sit with all of the Pinnacle members. We then take you to a, you know, luxurious 5-star experience mastermind. This year it's the French and Italian Riviera. on a cruise ship.

Sandra Yancey [00:09:54]:

And then we have a 3rd mastermind here back in Dallas, but we host the night before reception at our home. And then we have the mastermind at our country club and just really kind of button down all the final things that we're going to be working on for the quarter. And, and that, that then gives us kind of the, the lay of the land for how we kind of bring the year to a solid And what we find is that our mastermind members renew over and over and over and over again because there's just nothing quite like it.

Briana Dai [00:10:34]:

Well, and what's really cool to witness as well is that in addition to the access to us in masterminding and treating us as your executive board, they also have formed kind of their own sisterhood.

Sandra Yancey [00:10:48]:

Oh, no question about it. I mean,

Briana Dai [00:10:49]:

some of them have gone on vacations together just as small groups, you know what I mean? Like, they, they form true bonds.

Sandra Yancey [00:10:56]:

That's when you know you've built a community.

Briana Dai [00:10:57]:

And that— and it's really powerful. So, you know, there's so much beyond just the benefits on paper when you get into an expansive room of like-minded women and men, you know. Now we have our first male Pinnacle member, which is also really amazing. So, you know, we've done our own fair share of masterminds, and we created this one kind of as a result of what we've experienced in others, taking pieces that we'd like to really create something that I think is truly special.

Sandra Yancey [00:11:28]:

Pinnacle is a result of a mastermind we were in.

Briana Dai [00:11:31]:

Yes.

Sandra Yancey [00:11:32]:

You know,

Briana Dai [00:11:33]:

and we brought in the pieces that we were missing from it. Yep. Right.

Sandra Yancey [00:11:35]:

Yes.

Briana Dai [00:11:36]:

And it made it even better.

Sandra Yancey [00:11:38]:

Made it even better.

Briana Dai [00:11:39]:

You know, so, you know,

Sandra Yancey [00:11:42]:

for a fraction of the price,

Briana Dai [00:11:43]:

for truly a fraction.

Sandra Yancey [00:11:45]:

I think we paid $150,000 for that mastermind. And this one is 50. It should go up.

Briana Dai [00:11:51]:

Yeah,

Sandra Yancey [00:11:52]:

but I love it so much. You know, it's just such a joy to be working so intimately with these members individually and collectively.

Kym Yancey [00:12:02]:

And that's key. What you just said is such a joy. Yeah, it is. It is. For me personally, it's the ultimate experience. I mean, you couldn't design a better— the word work for me doesn't fit, you know what I mean? It feels like it doesn't— it's like not a part of Pinnacle, even though we work, right? Mm-hmm. We work to find the best result for you and that kind of thing, and to stimulate your thinking and help you. And as you said, Briana, the interaction among each other and what happens there.

Kym Yancey [00:12:37]:

But it's the ultimate. I mean, it's the way to experience

Sandra Yancey [00:12:45]:

Do you feel like you're drowning in your business? Like you're doing everything and something has to give, but you're afraid it might be you? What if I told you there's a network of over 500,000 women entrepreneurs all dedicated to supporting each other? A network of women helping women. I'm Sandra Yancy, founder of eWomen Network, and I'm inviting you to join us and become a member. And can I just talk about the tax advantages? I mean, when you're— there's an IRS code, you, I mean, you need to follow, and we do. Our itineraries are 21, 22 pages long because we document exactly to follow the rules. And of course, it's business. And so you're able to pay for it with pre-tax dollars, the business expenses. And you can write it off. So, you know, there is its fair share of work, but it doesn't feel like work when you're building your dream.

Sandra Yancey [00:13:49]:

You know, what's work about that?

Briana Dai [00:13:53]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:13:53]:

You know, and you're getting ideas and you're like, well, wait a minute, but I'm not sure. Well, let's map that out. Let's plan it out. Let's, you know, and people are getting inputs and we have a way in which people put their ideas on cards and then give the cards and then processing the cards and watching them carry their cards from one mastermind to the other. Being able to truly measure where they were when they started versus where they were at the end of the year. It's powerful and it's just a great way to do business. Mm-hmm.

Briana Dai [00:14:26]:

Absolutely.

Kym Yancey [00:14:27]:

You know, Sandra, because we have not talked about this, you did a mastermind called Retreat on Retreats.

Sandra Yancey [00:14:37]:

Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:14:37]:

And it is actually—

Sandra Yancey [00:14:39]:

That was a retreat. It wasn't a mastermind.

Kym Yancey [00:14:41]:

Right. That was a retreat. And that was how a retreat

Sandra Yancey [00:14:44]:

on how to do luxurious retreats. Because everybody says to me, how do you do it? And the truth is, there's a lot to know. I mean, there's a lot of ways for things to go sideways and not work. And so we documented our flow and our process and put together a whole program called A Retreat on Retreats. It wasn't a mastermind. And it's an important distinction, right? Mm-hmm. Because a mastermind is really when you're having a group Think tank. You bring a vision, an idea, a dream or problem, and you're getting everybody's input.

Briana Dai [00:15:22]:

And it's typically not a one-on-one and done meeting. It's a relationship.

Sandra Yancey [00:15:26]:

Yes.

Briana Dai [00:15:27]:

Typically at its

Sandra Yancey [00:15:28]:

best. For sure. For sure. And, and so you're getting everybody's. And if you're the facilitator of it, you've got to be really careful that you don't dominate so that everybody acquiesces to you. But you also know that the people that buy your mastermind want your input. And so it's a really great way to get input from everybody. I love that about a mastermind.

Sandra Yancey [00:15:55]:

So the way we usually structure it is, you know, we have a whole format. We help them tee up exactly what it is that they are working on. They get real clear on their ask so that there's no confusion. We allow the group to fully participate, and then we come in and button it up. up, you know, at the end. I think there's an art to a well-done mastermind. The Retreat on Retreats was actually really a training program on the 7 elements to being able to deliver a successful, you know, event where, you know, the customer feels blown away and wowed by the delivery, but it makes sense for you as well, financially, as well as the investment of your time, resources, So every

Briana Dai [00:16:49]:

retreat is a business write-off, right? I mean, I've been invited to retreats that would clearly be just like, there's no way, there's no tie-in, there's no way I could write this off as business.

Sandra Yancey [00:16:59]:

Yeah. I mean, certainly there are categories like this. If I'm training you on how to do a retreat and I think we did it in Bangkok and Thailand, right? And it was crazy because we made amazing experiences where we had, you know, staging put up in a rice field with, you know, tables that had you know, white tablecloths and candelabra. And we're teaching as the elephants are roaming around us in this sanctuary. We're like, where are we right now? Kind of thing. But there was also things that went wrong. Right. And we never told them what went wrong until after it was over.

Sandra Yancey [00:17:40]:

And then we revealed.

Briana Dai [00:17:41]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:17:41]:

Best laid plans. And here we are getting ready to go to an elephant we were doing the mud bath or whatever, and the, the, the matriarch died and they canceled the, the whole thing. And we were like, we need another plan for this.

Briana Dai [00:18:00]:

It was a selling point for women. They're going to be really upset. We got to figure it out.

Sandra Yancey [00:18:04]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:18:05]:

Find us an elephant that didn't like her. One that might be a little celebratory, perhaps.

Sandra Yancey [00:18:10]:

Or something. Something. And so we were up till 2:00 in the morning getting all of that worked out. They were clueless. They're sleeping. They arrive at, you know, 7:00 in the morning like they're supposed to for the breakfast and bus rides.

Briana Dai [00:18:24]:

No, no, no, no. We had to call them because they found something, but it was later. And so they had to pick us up. I was calling every single room individually, like, great news.

Sandra Yancey [00:18:33]:

You get to sleep in.

Briana Dai [00:18:34]:

You get to sleep in a little extra. Exactly. You know, positioning it as awesome. Meanwhile, I'm exhausted. I want to go to bed too.

Sandra Yancey [00:18:41]:

Exactly.

Briana Dai [00:18:41]:

Calling every single person.

Sandra Yancey [00:18:42]:

We go through the whole thing and it wasn't until dinner when we were asking them to, you know, process the experience. And it was just like, you know, a 15 out of 10, kind of the most amazing thing ever. And then we said, well, let me tell you what we were doing last night.

Briana Dai [00:18:57]:

Yeah. And pulling it back for them. That was a really cool, really cool program.

Sandra Yancey [00:19:02]:

And it was important for them to learn that you gotta make it look seamless to the customer. But behind the scenes, sometimes there's a lot of churn and unexpected, you know, problems to solve. But it was, it could not have, I mean, it was supposed, It was supposed to happen in many ways to illustrate that point.

Briana Dai [00:19:19]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:19:20]:

You know.

Kym Yancey [00:19:21]:

I wonder if you'll do another one. Yeah,

Sandra Yancey [00:19:23]:

people have been asking me. But we did a whole thing on negotiating, how you negotiate the venues, and, you know, how you plan, you know, the itinerary, and how do you price it. And, you know, how do you balance, you know, the— this was work-related. So this was— I wanted to follow the law so that it could be, you know, a deduction. And, you know, all of that. How do you do all of that?

Briana Dai [00:19:47]:

My vote is that we do it and we go back to Africa. And I promise not to have a baby.

Sandra Yancey [00:19:54]:

It was— I can— I could see that happening. I'd be curious to know if you're listening to this, if you'd be interested in doing an African safari with us while you learn how to do a luxurious retreat, because that place was exquisite. You know,

Kym Yancey [00:20:12]:

you know, the truth of the matter is, every place that we've been to,

Sandra Yancey [00:20:15]:

yeah,

Kym Yancey [00:20:15]:

it's exquisite. It's just It's just a total mental wash away. I mean, I will say out of all of them though, I will say that South Africa so disrupted your normal life thinking. You know, it's like— It changed how I looked at the world. What am I seeing here?

Sandra Yancey [00:20:34]:

Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:20:34]:

You know? Yeah. It was—

Briana Dai [00:20:37]:

So I'm curious, just because you do always find the most incredible experiences, you're not a travel agent. So like, how do you find these places? Is Amex the secret weapon? Like, who— what's your— can you share your source?

Kym Yancey [00:20:53]:

I network. Ah, I network. I network. I ask questions. I talk to people. And, you know, and listen, I'm gonna tell you something. I pay attention to the energy of the person on the phone. I mean, we've been, you know, you know, fortunately, um, we haven't made, quote, what I call an error in getting someone who is a destination management advisor.

Kym Yancey [00:21:17]:

There are people, they call them DMCs, destination management company. And, you know, everybody has a personality. Just like when you go to a restaurant and you say, listen, how's this XYZ here? And he goes, oh, it's fantastic, are you kidding me? Yeah, I eat at least 3 times a week. That waiter gets your attention versus the person says, uh, you know what I mean?

Sandra Yancey [00:21:39]:

It's not my real— not really my cup of tea. I haven't tried anything yet.

Briana Dai [00:21:42]:

Yeah, I've not tried anything yet.

Kym Yancey [00:21:43]:

Yeah. And so Okay. And so, uh, you know, through all the events that we do, we meet different people, you know, that I talk to, and, and I pay attention to what the conversation is like and what they know. And, and then, um, you know, you get to the process of picking someone who's going to be your destination management advisor in that marketplace, you know. And, uh, but really, Brianna, you do just like you're picking out a wedding planner or, you know, anybody that you're going to work with, you pay attention to the vibe. I'm a vibe person. It is a vibe.

Sandra Yancey [00:22:17]:

We've made changes because the vibe—

Kym Yancey [00:22:18]:

we've made changes. We've made changes. You know, like,

Sandra Yancey [00:22:22]:

we tell them our audience is discerning. We don't want to feel guilty about that, you know, kind of thing. And, um, when we feel like they're just kind of bucketing us into things, we're like, no. Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:22:36]:

You know, you know, I've said this before, you know, if you aren't excited about your business, who do you suggest

Briana Dai [00:22:43]:

Right.

Kym Yancey [00:22:43]:

And with, with this picking out people to work with you, I want that enthusiasm. I want to feel it. I want to, you know, I can tell if they're really into it and they're making themselves accessible and available.

Sandra Yancey [00:22:56]:

And if they're willing to go the extra mile, like cruise ships, for example, you know, they all sell excursions, but we want a private excursion. We don't want our excursion with a bunch of people that we don't know. It's not that we're— it's just that it's a mastermind.

Briana Dai [00:23:11]:

Yeah, it's part of our Like team building bond, right?

Sandra Yancey [00:23:15]:

Yeah, exactly. And so a lot of times there's a— you'd be surprised how many aren't able to accommodate that. Like, we can't just have your own excursion.

Briana Dai [00:23:25]:

Which is crazy because it's not like we're a tiny group. Like, we take up to 15 Pinnacles, and I'd say 3 quarters of them bring a plus one, bring their spouse. So, I mean, you're—

Sandra Yancey [00:23:35]:

It's usually around 30. Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:23:36]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:23:37]:

By the time— between 26 and 30. Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:23:39]:

You know?

Sandra Yancey [00:23:40]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:23:40]:

Like, you mean you can't do a private excursion for 30 people? Get out of here.

Sandra Yancey [00:23:44]:

But it's their sign-up system. They just have like a, you know, you just go in and sign up online. And so you're with— and we're like, no, we want a separate private,

Briana Dai [00:23:55]:

right?

Sandra Yancey [00:23:56]:

You know, excursion. And you can tell by the way they're talking with us if they're going to be like open to making that happen or not. And we're not trying to convince them. We're just listening to the cues.

Kym Yancey [00:24:10]:

Yeah, we've got it down to the point too, you know, we make sure people also have what they want and need in personal time too. So they're able to, you know, structure it in such a way that, you know, you have good personal time. But you know what, everybody so, so digs everybody. They like everybody, likes everybody, you know, they're just thrilled to share in the conversation. Some of the best part of the whole thing, I find, Are the conversations at dinner?

Sandra Yancey [00:24:34]:

No question.

Briana Dai [00:24:35]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:24:36]:

It's so much fun to hear what everybody's like coming up with and taking away. And it's, it's joyful for me.

Briana Dai [00:24:46]:

Yeah, it is.

Sandra Yancey [00:24:47]:

Watch the transformation right before my eyes.

Briana Dai [00:24:50]:

One thing kind of interesting happened at last year's Pinnacle Mastermind. I don't know that this was the intention, but we've done things where we're at one long table.

Sandra Yancey [00:24:58]:

Yeah. Yep.

Briana Dai [00:24:59]:

Which is cool. Mm-hmm. You know, but what you find when you're at a long table is you're really only mostly connecting with the people kind of around you at that table anyway. Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:25:07]:

Right.

Briana Dai [00:25:08]:

You know what I mean? To the left and the right and across from you. Right? So this last year at the mastermind, they couldn't accommodate a long table 'cause of the way that their floor plans were set up and fire marshals and all the things. They only had rounds. And so the group was divided into different rounds and it actually made for a really special—

Sandra Yancey [00:25:25]:

Sure did.

Briana Dai [00:25:26]:

You know, I was, I was worried about it. Yeah. I was worried that people would feel some type of way, but it actually worked out better cuz we had rolling reservations so some people could come later and some people wanted that versus other people that wanted to be earlier. And by default, I don't know how, but it just worked out that nobody that wanted to be later couldn't be later. Mm-hmm. And nobody that wanted to be early couldn't be early. And

Sandra Yancey [00:25:45]:

we were rotating, so we made sure they got one of us. Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:25:48]:

At every single dinner table. And, um, yeah, and it ended up being so beautiful because every night people picked a different group to sit with.

Sandra Yancey [00:25:57]:

Yeah, they loved it.

Briana Dai [00:25:59]:

But you were able to have richer conversations that are round.

Sandra Yancey [00:26:02]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:26:02]:

Than you would be if you were at a long table. And changing up the scenery of who you sat with every night was really, really special. I kind of hope we'd still do that.

Kym Yancey [00:26:14]:

I know. We are doing that. Yeah. Those are the kind of things that you learn because, you know, you have to be careful with what you fight for. Like, I want us all at the same table. Yes. You're going to divide us. It's going to change our whole vibe.

Kym Yancey [00:26:26]:

Then you discover, no, their way— the way he had it was better. This is better. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? But you can fight for the very thing That is not the ideal solution.

Briana Dai [00:26:38]:

Yeah.

Kym Yancey [00:26:39]:

And

Briana Dai [00:26:39]:

the one crazy thing I will say, though, is we didn't sit together the entire trip.

Sandra Yancey [00:26:46]:

I know

Briana Dai [00:26:47]:

we did. Did we? We ended up having, I think, one. Did we have one dinner together? No, we didn't. We didn't have a single dinner together.

Sandra Yancey [00:26:56]:

Yeah, but when we went—

Briana Dai [00:26:56]:

Did you miss me?

Sandra Yancey [00:26:58]:

I missed you. But when we went, you know, into the ports. Yeah, we had time to like— Like, let's go get this amazing Italian pizza over here. Yeah. You know?

Briana Dai [00:27:08]:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had a good way. We made up for it.

Sandra Yancey [00:27:10]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:27:10]:

But it was weird for me.

Kym Yancey [00:27:13]:

But you know—

Briana Dai [00:27:13]:

Maybe not for you.

Kym Yancey [00:27:14]:

You know, for me, for me, you know, it filled me up when I looked over and saw you and Travis and, you know, just—

Sandra Yancey [00:27:21]:

Having so much fun. That night, that sushi night, I was like—

Briana Dai [00:27:23]:

Oh yeah. We went down in history.

Sandra Yancey [00:27:27]:

We're gonna put the ship out of business with the volume of sushi that kept coming to that table.

Briana Dai [00:27:32]:

That was my husband ordering sushi. Yeah. Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:27:34]:

And everybody loved, they got on board with him. Travis, what do we get next? I could hear it, you know?

Briana Dai [00:27:38]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:27:39]:

Kind of thing.

Briana Dai [00:27:39]:

That was a fun night.

Sandra Yancey [00:27:40]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:27:41]:

Yeah, it's, yeah, it was a really, that was a really special experience. And it was really great to share it with Travis too, because, you know, and I think that this is the case for most of our members, you know, who have spouses, particularly ones that aren't involved in their business, is to be at the dinner table conversations and to hear the follow-up of what was talked about. You know, you hear it after the fact. You know, you hear them talk about it when you go home. but to be at the table with the very people that you're masterminding with and having follow-up conversations about it and to be able to feel included, I have to imagine that it just creates that much more support from your spouse.

Sandra Yancey [00:28:18]:

Oh, the guys ended up like totally falling in love with each other. They were glad we were all masterminding so they could go play golf or hang out, you know, on the boat or do whatever. And then they would know when we were done and we would walk out of our room and they would all be there, all happy to see us and everything. I mean, that was my fear was that the guys might not vibe.

Briana Dai [00:28:40]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:28:40]:

And they so vibed.

Briana Dai [00:28:43]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:28:43]:

And they were like, this is the coolest thing ever.

Briana Dai [00:28:46]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:28:46]:

Yeah. In fact, I think in many ways they have been supporters of, you know, the members saying yes.

Briana Dai [00:28:54]:

Absolutely.

Sandra Yancey [00:28:55]:

Over and over again.

Briana Dai [00:28:56]:

Well, because they're able to witness the power of it and kind of get to enjoy the fruits of it a little bit too.

Sandra Yancey [00:29:01]:

And meet other men who are married to women who are

Briana Dai [00:29:05]:

alpha.

Sandra Yancey [00:29:06]:

Yeah. You took the words out of my mouth. Yeah. Strong women, passionate women or whatever. Yes. That's a special kind of guy.

Briana Dai [00:29:14]:

It is. You know, it is.

Sandra Yancey [00:29:15]:

And so they all just were like, I get you. Yeah. Kind of thing. And then they found ways to include you too, because you were in the masterminds and it just was sweet to see how all of that worked.

Briana Dai [00:29:30]:

I also enjoy meeting the spouses because I mean, they'll be like, wow, I, I see how this works. You know what I mean? Like, there's truly somebody for everybody, you know. And we do cultivate a unique group of characters, powerful characters, but characters, you know. Everyone is unique, their business is unique, and who the partner that they attract that supports them.

Sandra Yancey [00:29:47]:

In some cases, husbands have decided to go into business with their wives. Yeah, because of being around us and seeing how it works and saying, this really can work and be fun.

Kym Yancey [00:29:58]:

And the key here about the husbands or the spouse is That, that happens on the bucket trip, the bucket list trip.

Sandra Yancey [00:30:06]:

Yes. Yeah. Not the

Kym Yancey [00:30:07]:

other, the other 2 masterminds. They're not there. But for the bucket list trip, we make it available. So,

Sandra Yancey [00:30:13]:

you know, you hang out and live with people for 12 days or so, you get to know each other pretty well.

Briana Dai [00:30:18]:

Yeah, for sure.

Sandra Yancey [00:30:20]:

You know, it's great. Yeah, I even ended up learning who are the lefties and who aren't, because they like to sit certain spots at the table, you know. This is fun. Like, we have to save that spot for Brianna. She's a lefty.

Briana Dai [00:30:35]:

Yeah. Always disrupting the dinner table. Yes, indeed. What's the final, final thing you would say about getting out of your backyard and, you know, imagining something new to somebody listening, whether that is because they're interested in Pinnacle or just booking a trip and getting out of their backyard to dream bigger? What's— what, what, what would you tell that person?

Sandra Yancey [00:31:02]:

I think when you open your boundaries, you open your possibilities. I mean, I just— I'm one of those people. I've belonged to masterminds for years. I've taken training programs for years. I've had coaches for years. I still do. And what I can tell you is that there is nothing like a different perspective. It is so easy to not even realize how, how easy it is just to get into a rhythm that keeps you on a very narrow focus, and you miss all the other opportunities and possibilities that comes with just finally getting away.

Briana Dai [00:31:39]:

Yeah. Mm-hmm. What would your thought be?

Kym Yancey [00:31:43]:

And I, I have just— every part of success that I've had in my life has been a result of getting out of my own way. and putting myself in environments where an opportunity can flourish. You guys need me to repeat that? You got that? Mm-hmm. You know, it's every one of them. I mean, from music business to, you know, my advertising agency, every wonderful thing is a result of getting out of my own way and putting myself in environments networking environments where the possibilities can just unfold. And I mean, you know, you, you do it, you know, you find your tribe. I mean, I'm discerning. I just don't jump in anyone's thing, you know.

Kym Yancey [00:32:29]:

It's, it's discerning. But, you know, let's look at what you see on Facebook or whatever it might be, Instagram, I don't care. You know, you— it's hard to form form any kind of deep-rooted relationship with an interaction in social media. You know, you've got to get out. Sponsorships— the sponsorship deals that I've had, the things that I've, you know, I've done in that area, all result of that. So now I find there's a real changing of the guard. You know, the people that were sponsors before, that were big sponsors before, you don't even see their names hardly anymore, you know, except for the mega sponsors. You know, when they— like for soccer games, and see things like AT&T or whatever it might be.

Kym Yancey [00:33:13]:

But, you know, what I call it, the foundation of sponsorship all around the country is all new players, all new people, all new businesses.

Briana Dai [00:33:22]:

How exciting.

Kym Yancey [00:33:22]:

Yeah, it's very exciting. Yeah, it's very exciting.

Sandra Yancey [00:33:25]:

They're looking for you. They just don't know you exist. But you got to get out.

Kym Yancey [00:33:28]:

There's nothing like— it's nothing like it to me. There's nothing like it. It's a human game.

Sandra Yancey [00:33:33]:

Yeah.

Briana Dai [00:33:33]:

Yeah.

Sandra Yancey [00:33:34]:

It's a business strategy.

Briana Dai [00:33:36]:

Yeah, we've never made an investment in a mastermind that we haven't seen an ROI on.

Sandra Yancey [00:33:41]:

Oh, huge. By millions.

Briana Dai [00:33:42]:

By millions. And I know that that's not the case for every single person. So I think that there is a decision point where you have to decide how you're going to leverage the experience, how you're going to leverage the investment, because the opportunity for the ROI is steep.

Sandra Yancey [00:33:57]:

Well, and we're action takers.

Briana Dai [00:33:59]:

Yes, you have to be an action taker. I think people that I've seen that make a the investment that maybe don't get the return on it are the ones that just sit on things. They just sit, they consume the information, but then they never put it into action. What I love about this mastermind is that there's the accountability. Mm-hmm. Because not only do you have the 3 masterminds over the year, but you have the one-on-one time with us. You have the quarterlies with us where you have the cheerleaders and the people that keep you in momentum so that you never get stuck in stagnation or into, you know, overthinking. And so, if you've been sitting on wanting to take a leap of faith and get out of your own backyard.

Briana Dai [00:34:37]:

I would say don't just do it alone. Do it with people that are like-minded, who are going to push you and hold you accountable to make sure that you actually take the ideas that you get, the dreams that come to you when you're abroad, and you put them to work. You know, because she doesn't just mean business.

Sandra Yancey [00:34:55]:

She means millions.
